Roy Ballard

Roy Ballard is a seasoned engineer currently serving as Chief Engineer at Matrix Research in Beavercreek, Ohio, where they manage the distributed RF R&D portfolio and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership. With a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton, Roy has over 35 years of experience as an Air Force engineer at the Air Force Research Laboratory, leading key divisions in the development of multi-spectral and multi-domain sensing capabilities. Their notable roles included Chief of the Multi-Domain Sensing Autonomy Division, where they oversaw the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology for improved battlespace decision-making.
