Reece Walsh

Reece Walsh is a skilled Deep Learning Engineer currently employed at Matroid since November 2025, with prior experience as an Advising Research Scientist at BC Cancer, where Reece supervised the development of machine learning models for clinical research. As a Machine Learning Engineer at TerraSense Analytics, Reece led projects integrating ML solutions with specialized hardware for Edge AI. Academic roles include serving as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant and Sessional Professor at The University of British Columbia, where Reece taught operating systems and developed the AutoEd system. Reece holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, complemented by grant-supported research projects in medical imaging and X-ray technology.
