Robbie Brenner is Executive Vice President and Executive Producer of Mattel Films. An Oscar®-nominated producer of “Dallas Buyers Club,” Robbie is responsible for developing Mattel’s iconic portfolio of brands into cinematic experiences.
Prior to Mattel, Robbie was President of Film of The Firm. There, she produced “Burden,” the true story of a racial extremist who learns tolerance, which won the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award at Sundance in 2018. Before this, Robbie spent six years at Relativity Media, where she held many roles including President of Production. Under her leadership, Relativity acquired Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut, “Don Jon,” as well as Disney’s family adventure, “Earth to Echo.” Robbie also produced “The Fighter,” which won two Academy Awards®, the Snow White adaptation, “Mirror, Mirror” and the 3-D epic, “Immortals,” which grossed over $225 million worldwide. In addition, she oversaw the successful Nicholas Sparks book adaptations, “Dear John” and “Safe Haven.”
Before joining Relativity, Robbie held several executive production roles. She ran the classics division at Davis Entertainment and was Senior Vice President of Production at Twentieth Century Fox. Robbie also spent nearly a decade at Miramax holding multiple positions including Senior Vice President of Miramax Films. Earlier in her career, she served as a production and development executive for nine years.
Robbie received a bachelor’s degree in Film from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and she is a member of the executive branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
