Nishant Kumar

Nishant Kumar is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive and electric vehicle sectors. Currently serving as Assistant General Manager at Matter since April 2023, Nishant leads a team in the design and development of the AERA Platform's chassis system. Previously, from October 2021 to March 2023, Nishant held the position of CoC Lead for EV Projects at Hero MotoCorp, contributing to the launch of the XOOM 110cc and VIDA V1 models. Earlier roles at Ola Electric Mobility involved managing various design challenges in electric scooters, while Nishant's career at Hero MotoCorp included key project management positions and significant contributions to electric vehicle and BS6 model development. Nishant began a career in design engineering at BEML LTD., working on major metro projects. Educational credentials include an Executive Program in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur.
