Jesse Hallam

Jesse Hallam is a Principal Engineer at Mattermost since January 2018, with extensive experience as a full-stack engineer and core committer in the open-source community, focusing on developer toolkit architecture and the successful launch of Mattermost Private Cloud. Prior to Mattermost, Jesse worked as a Software Engineer IV at Greenfield Labs, leveraging technologies like Apache Kafka and Go to develop a streaming pipeline for SMS message analysis. Jesse's career began at Kaleidescape, where contributions included leading the development of the Kaleidescape Movie Store and implementing Blu-ray support in the embedded operating system. Earlier roles included Co-op positions at Sears Canada and Amtelecom Communications, focusing on system administration and technical support, respectively. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Mathematics with Honours in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
