Robert Abad

Robert Abad has over 19 years of work experience in the field of embedded software engineering. Robert began their career in 2001 as a Software Engineer at Trimble Navigation. In 2007, they joined Broadcom Corporation as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where they were responsible for embedded firmware development of GPS/GNSS silicon solutions, platform migration for new product development, development and maintenance of Host GNSS software and its API, development and maintenance of DSP and RF unit test software, ASIC bring-up and verification, design and development of EVK (Evaluation Kit) firmware, and integration of GPS core technology with other Broadcom connectivity IP. In 2014, they became a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Jawbone. Robert then joined LitePoint and Verb Surgical Inc. in 2016 in the same capacity. In 2020, they joined Matternet as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Embedded Software Engineer.

Robert Abad received a BS in Mathematics and Geology from Queens College, followed by an MA in Geophysics from Columbia University.
