Eli Cahan

Strategic Advisor at Maven Project

Eli is pursuing a master’s degree in health policy as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at the Stanford School of Medicine and has one year remaining in the MD program at the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Eli conducts research with the Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC), the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH), and the Center on Philanthropy And Civil Society (PACS), focusing on health economics, global health, biomedical innovation, and implementation science. He is also a contributor to TechCrunch and STAT News, and an editor of Agora, the School of Medicine’s arts and literature magazine at NYU.

In the past, Eli has worked as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Infinity Equity Group. He was a Fulbright International Summer Institute Scholar and Angell Scholar at the University of Michigan, received the Paul Kalanithi Writing Award from Stanford School of Medicine, and was a Rudin Fellow in the Medical Humanities at NYU. His work has been featured in PBS News, US News, Vox, Forbes, Scientific American, Business Insider, Nature, JAMA, and Health Affairs, among other publications.
