Mavuno is a grassroots development organization empowering local leaders to end extreme poverty in Eastern Congo. Our five-step process is designed to place local interests and ingenuity at the center of a community’s development.

We empower local leaders to create their own solutions to extreme poverty, partnering with them to bring stability and prosperity to eastern Congo. Mavuno envisions a peaceful and thriving Congo where all people have the opportunity to create their own future.
