Jocelyn Smith

Jocelyn Smith is a Staff Aerospace Engineer at Maxar Technologies, where they are currently engaged in aerospace engineering initiatives. Prior to this role, they worked as an Optical Systems Engineer at Optics 1, where they designed and tested electro-optical systems. Jocelyn also gained experience as an Optical Materials Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics, conducting research on high-power lasers and liquid crystal materials. They previously served as a Teaching Assistant at the Institute of Optics from 2017 to 2020, supporting various optics courses. Jocelyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Rochester in 2020.
