Julie Earls is an experienced geospatial professional currently serving as the SOCOM Technical Director and GeoHIVE Product Manager at Maxar Technologies since August 2012. In this role, Julie manages a team of geospatial analysts and developers to support government clients, focusing on mobile systems that facilitate rapid measurement and blueprinting of internal building structures. Prior to Maxar, Julie held positions as a Research Scientist at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Geo-Spatial Analytics Lab and the University of South Florida, where project work included using the SWAT model integrated with GIS for watershed analysis. Additional experience includes roles as an Imagery/Terrain Specialist and GIS Analyst at Donatech Corporation and Schreuder, Inc., respectively. Julie earned a PhD in Geographic Information Science from the University of South Florida and additional degrees in Environmental Health and Environmental Science & Policy.
