Maarten Meerman

Maarten Meerman is a distinguished member of technical staff and mission architect at Maxar Technologies, specializing in the design and analysis of satellites and space missions since August 2021. With extensive experience in the space industry spanning over three decades, Meerman has served as a fellow systems architect and space mission design consultant for various businesses in the small satellite sector, alongside giving academic support and delivering public lectures. Previous roles include systems engineering lead for LEO and small satellites at SSL, senior systems engineer at MDA, director of research at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, and professor of space systems engineering at the US Air Force Academy. Meerman holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
