Rey Alvarez

Rey Alvarez has extensive experience in management and engineering roles, currently serving as Section Manager at Maxar Technologies since April 2019, overseeing a diverse team focused on the design, build, testing, and maintenance of Electrical Ground Support Test Equipment. Previously, Rey held the position of Section Manager at SSL for nearly 19 years, where responsibilities included team management, customer interfacing, project management, and logistical support for test equipment used worldwide. Rey's career began with roles such as Unit Supervisor, Engineering Assistant, and Sr Lab Test Technician, providing essential support in the development and testing of Electronic Ground Support Equipment for satellite applications. Rey holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies from ITT Technical Institute and a high school diploma from John F Kennedy High School.
