Rob Lyon

Rob Lyon serves as the Vice President of Program Engineering and Mission Assurance at Maxar Technologies, overseeing various engineering and quality assurance teams. Prior to this, Rob held the position of Executive Director for Bus Electronics Design Engineering, leading the development of advanced electronic systems for space applications. With a notable career at SSL (Space Systems Loral), Rob was the Chief Engineer responsible for the reliability and quality of satellites. Earlier experience includes serving as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy, recognized for excellence in navigation and operations. Rob holds multiple master's degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy, as well as an MBA from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.
