Shane Malone is an experienced engineering manager currently leading a team of 15 mechanical engineers, designers, and analysts at Maxar Technologies since August 2019, focusing on unit design efforts in the Space Infrastructure area. Prior to this role, Shane served as Platform Unit Electrical Design Manager at SSL from June 2011 to July 2019, overseeing more than 20 electrical engineers in the development of power and data handling electronics for spacecraft. Additionally, Shane held the title of Systems Engineering Manager at NASA Glenn Research Center from January 2004 to May 2011 and worked as a Propulsion Engineer at SSL from October 1998 to October 2003. Shane holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, completed between 1992 and 1998.
