Sherrie Schmit

Sherrie Schmit is a seasoned product manager and system architect with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving at Maxar Technologies since October 2015. In this role, Sherrie has defined and developed the Digital Payload Resource Manager, focusing on real-time event-driven microservices. Prior to Maxar, Sherrie held leadership positions, including South Bay Metro Director at Cleantech Open, where notable achievements included exceeding attendance expectations for business briefings and recruiting teams for the accelerator program. Other key roles include Director of Product Sales at Seevider, Program Manager at L-3 Communications overseeing software control systems, Engineering Program Manager at Dotcast, and Program Manager at Lockheed Martin, where Sherrie managed the design of high data rate networks. Sherrie holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
