Steven Spence

Steven Spence possesses extensive experience in mission planning and geospatial analysis, currently serving as a Mission Planner at Maxar Technologies since March 2018. In this role, Steven pioneered the integration of Collection Planning and System Engineering teams, developing a comprehensive training program for the transition to the Mission Planner model. Prior experience includes roles as a Collection Planning Analyst and Imagery System Engineer at Maxar, focusing on geopolitical analysis and real-time imagery collection. Internship experiences include GIS analysis for Village Earth and Colorado State University, contributing to research projects and public awareness initiatives. Steven's early career in the U.S. Army as an Operations Manager involved supervising personnel and equipment readiness, showcasing strong leadership and planning skills. Steven holds a Bachelor's of Science in Geology from Colorado State University and an Associate’s Degree in Physics from Pikes Peak Community College.
