Patrick Hung

Asia Pacific Head at Maxeler Technologies

Patrick Hung has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 2000. From 2000-2009, they served as President of CPO Technologies Corporation, where they assembled a world-class semiconductor technology team and provided consulting services to high-tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2009, they co-founded Velosti Technology Limited, a leading fabless semiconductor design house, and also became the Director of Shandong Academy of Information & Communication Technology (SAICT) High Performance Computing & Security Laboratory. In 2011, they became a Partner of MyIT-School, where they provided technical leadership in software, hardware, firmware, cloud, and security technologies and was responsible for providing services to several hundred schools in Hong Kong and Macau. In 2012, they became an External Assessor and Lecturer at City University of Hong Kong, where they reviewed a number of applied research grant proposals and taught graduate-level digital security technologies classes. In 2013, they became an External Examiner at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2017, they became a Consultant at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2019, they became the Asia Pacific Head of Maxeler Technologies. In 2020, they became an Independent Non-Executive Director of SDM Group Holdings Ltd. Finally, in 2022, they became a Distinguished Professor at Inspur Group.

Patrick Hung obtained a High School diploma from Raimondi College, Hong Kong in 1983. Patrick then attended The University of Hong Kong and obtained a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1986. Patrick continued their education at Stanford University, where they obtained an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1997 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering in 2002.
