Shalin Shah began their career in 2014 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they served as a Coordinator and Student Conduct Assistant. In 2018, they joined Maxient LLC as a Client Support Specialist. In this role, they traveled to client campuses to conduct in-person trainings for new users, provided re-training/professional services sessions for existing clients, assisted the development team staff with analyzing client needs, tested new system features during development, and participated in the day-to-day support of existing clients. Shalin also authored help forum topics, training materials, and created support videos. In addition, they were a core member of the team charged with all aspects of planning, organizing and presenting at the company's national users conference, MaxFest.

Shalin Shah obtained their Bachelor of Science in Political Science from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2014. Shalin then went on to receive their Master of Science in College Student Personnel/Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2017.
