Dan Donovan has a diverse work experience in the creative field. Dan is currently the Chief Creative Officer at Maximum Effort since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at McCann New York as the EVP, Global Creative Director and Executive Creative Director, overseeing projects for clients such as Verizon Wireless, Verizon Fios, U.S. Army, Lockheed Martin, NY Lottery, and more. Before joining McCann New York, Donovan held positions at Crispin Porter + Bogusky as the VP, Executive Creative Director and Creative Director, working on campaigns for Charles Schwab, Hotels.com, and MetLife. Dan also worked at McCann Erickson as the SVP, Group Creative Director, Creative Director, Copywriter, and Creative Assistant, handling accounts for Verizon Wireless, Verizon FiOS, Staples, U.S. Army, Nikon, and WeightWatchers for Men. Additionally, Donovan had a role as a Teacher/Mentor/Coach at HIspanic Young People's Alternative, where they developed and implemented a creative writing curriculum for junior high school students.

Dan Donovan attended Boston University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication. Dan later enrolled at the School of Visual Arts in 1997, focusing on Advertising/Copywriting.
