Ellen Thompson

Ellen Thompson, PMP, has extensive experience in program modernization consulting, currently serving as Associate Managing Director at MAXIMUS since March 2011. In addition to this role, Ellen is a Founding Board Member of the EBT Community Council, established in January 2023, which aims to enhance collaboration around EBT insights. Previously, Ellen held the position of Vice Chair for Rules & Practices at the eGovernment Payments Council from December 2015 to December 2022 and worked as a Program Analyst at USDA from May 2010 to March 2011. Ellen's career at MAXIMUS began in 1998, where roles included Senior Manager. Early professional experience includes a Senior Research Analyst position at ICMA and a Committee Assistant role at the Minnesota State Senate. Ellen holds a Master of Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Political Science from Marquette University.
