Jonathan Burns

Jonathan Burns is an experienced statistician and data science professional with a diverse background in advanced data analytics, automation, and innovation. Currently serving as a Principal Statistician and Principal Analyst at MAXIMUS since November 2018, Jonathan utilizes R for deep data analysis to extract actionable business insights. Previously, Jonathan held the role of Principal Statistician at General Dynamics Health Solutions from October 2012 to November 2018, where involvement expanded to include forecasting call volume and enhancing predictive models for the ML4 effort. Prior experience includes over six years as Chief Mathematician at Referral Technology and a brief analyst position at Scotia Capital. Academic qualifications include a Post-Master's Certificate in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins, an MS in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, and a BScH in Chemistry and Mathematics from Queen's University, along with additional studies at Ner Israel and Machon Shlomo.
