Gopalan Iyengar

Gopalan Iyengar is a Principal System Engineer at MaxLinear with extensive experience in optical engineering and testing. Previously, Iyengar served as Engineer Staff, Optical at Lumentum, where notable projects included the development of a 128 Gbaud IC-TROSA and the management of the 800G ZR coherent module testing. As a Sr Optical Test Engineer at NeoPhotonics, key contributions involved the testing and characterization of high-speed transceivers, along with developing processes for cross-functional teams. Earlier roles included positions at Broadcom Inc. and FIT-Foxconn Interconnect Technology, where Iyengar focused on module testing and performance improvement. Iyengar holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai.
