Iman Abdo

Senior Principal Engineer at MaxLinear

Iman Abdo has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles throughout their career. Iman began their career at Matrox Graphics Inc in 1996, where they worked as a Verification Engineer responsible for the graphic processor and its sub-blocks. Iman then joined Extreme Packet Devices/PMC-Sierra as a Design Verification Engineer, specializing in bridge verification.

In 2001, Abdo started working at ARC Cores, where they served as a Design Verification Engineer. Iman'sresponsibilities included USB device and host verification at the block and system levels. Iman also worked on creating test plans and coding a Vera environment for system-on-chip (SoC) verification.

Abdo then joined Freescale Semiconductor in 2004 as a Design Verification Engineer. Iman'smain tasks involved creating the verification environment and test plan for Hypertransport and DMA interfaces. Iman also utilized various tools and scripting languages for environment management and testing.

From 2015 to 2016, Abdo worked at HeartWare Inc as a V&V Engineer, focusing on verification and validation activities.

In 2006, Abdo joined Capgemini/IGATE/Patni/ZAIQ, where they served as a Verification Technical Lead and Project Manager. Iman worked on multiple projects, collaborating with clients and managing a team. Iman also led the development of verification methodologies and provided guidance to new team members.

Most recently, in 2017, Abdo joined NanoSemi Inc as a Principal ASIC Design Engineer, where they played a crucial role in the development of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs).

In 2022, Abdo joined MaxLinear as a Senior Principal Engineer, further advancing their expertise in engineering and leadership roles.

Iman Abdo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Microelectronics from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal between the years 1993 and 1996.
