Sigurd Schelstraete

Sigurd Schelstraete is the Senior Director of Standards Engineering at MaxLinear, where they leverage over 20 years of experience in digital communications, digital signal processing, and system design. Throughout their career, Sigurd has contributed significantly to standards and technological innovations, holding more than 20 patents and playing a key role in the development of various VDSL2 and Wi-Fi standards. Previously, they held positions at ON Semiconductor, Quantenna Communications, and Ikanos Communications, where they specialized in algorithm design and standardization efforts. Sigurd earned a PhD and MS in Physics from Ghent University, further solidifying their strong theoretical foundation in the field.
