Steffen Trautmann

Steffen Trautmann has extensive experience in systems engineering and architecture. Steffen is currently serving as the Systems Engineering Department Lead and Senior Principal Systems Architect at MaxLinear. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Principal Systems Architect and Systems Engineering Team Lead at MaxLinear as well. Before joining MaxLinear, they worked as a Systems Architect at Intel Corporation for five years. Additionally, they worked at Lantiq, an Intel Company, where they held the roles of Principal Systems Architect and Senior Staff Systems Engineer. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Infineon Technologies and a Senior Researcher at the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna (ftw.).

Steffen Trautmann has a strong educational background in the field of Electrical Engineering. Steffen began their education at the Technische Universität Dresden, where they earned their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Information Technology from 1990 to 1996.

During their time at Technische Universität Dresden, Steffen Trautmann also took part in a research stay at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1994 to 1995, further enhancing their knowledge in Electrical Engineering.

Steffen then pursued their PhD studies, first at the Hamburg University of Technology from 1996 to 1997, and later at the University of Mannheim from 1997 to 2001. These studies provided him with advanced expertise in Electrical Engineering.

Steffen Trautmann continued their academic journey by earning a Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2002, further solidifying their knowledge and expertise in the field.
