Kevin O'Brien is currently a Perception Software Engineer at May Mobility since February 2024. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a Software Engineer specializing in Sensor Fusion and Tracking at MAGNA ELECTRONICS LIMITED from January 2022 to September 2023, and as a Perception Software Engineer at Optimus Ride from June 2021 to December 2021. Earlier experience includes an internship as a Software Engineering Intern at RE2 Robotics in the summer of 2020, and a position as a LabVIEW Test Engineer at FLIR Systems from February 2018 to July 2019. Kevin began a career in engineering with a summer researcher position in Lego Robotics at the Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach in 2016. Academically, Kevin holds a Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University (2019-2021) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University (2013-2017), complemented by a study abroad experience at The University of Edinburgh in 2015. Kevin's early education was completed at Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, CT.
