The world of Maya design has warm tones, shapes without edges, flavor lived. The company of home accessories, based in Impruneta outside Florence and Chianti, is constantly moving between two poles: the technological innovation, the cultural traditions of Tuscany, which gives a strong impression to the territory, to those who lives and works there. Maya Design was founded in 2006 by Lorenzo Cintelli and Sofia D’Amico. The company has since grown, coming to have its own line of furnishings and lighting. From lamps to tables, going from armchairs and perfumers, the objects tell echo of their homeland but were born with the needs of every day, reinterpreting the space in an original way.

Tuscany is not only the seat of Maya Design: the products are actually the result of learning Italian and Tuscan craftsmanship. This is also reflected in the details, which express a strong passion for the product made by hand, married to the knowledge of materials and their characteristics. The homeland of Maya is also expressed in the choice of many names given to the creations of the designers, who remember the past of Florence and Italy, with its artists and poets.


Behind this balance between tradition and desire to find new solutions to contemporary needs, there are the two designers Lorenzo Cintelli and Sofia D’Amico. Inspired by a love object did well, “with care”, are inspired by what surrounds them.  Sofia and Lorenzo are to welcome customers and friends in the headquarters of Mayan design, Impruneta. Among essences Tuscan, comfortable fabrics, lights designed, prototypes waiting to be put into production, the air you breathe is the desire to experiment, to love what you do.
