Rommel Abesames

Rommel Abesames is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in software development and technical leadership. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Maya since June 2023, Rommel has previously held similar managerial roles at Gappify and Sterling, as well as Development Manager positions at PCLender and PCLender Philippines, Inc. Notably, after PCLender's acquisition by Fiserv, Rommel shifted focus to technical leadership while transitioning administrative responsibilities. Rommel's career also includes significant contributions as a professor at Roosevelt College Science High School and director roles at Integrated Business Information Systems, Inc., where strategic improvements in software development and project management were implemented. Rommel's educational background includes a BS in Physics from the University of the Philippines, complemented by early education at Philippine Science High School.
