Mayer Security Services, doing business as Meyer Defense Inc., is a veteran-owned security and investigations company based in Houston, Texas. Founded and directed by U.S. Marine Corps veteran Jason Essazay, the company was built on experience shaped by exposure to violence and instability growing up in a warzone, international security contracting, and military service in the Marine Corps Scout Sniper platoon. That foundation created a lifelong commitment to providing safer environments for others.

Mayer Security Services delivers trusted protection for corporate, industrial, and private clients across Texas. The company is recognized for leadership in healthcare security, construction site protection, disaster response, executive protection, and specialized investigations. As a member of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) and ASIS International, Mayer Security maintains high standards of professionalism and compliance.

Our philosophy is simple: intelligence over intimidation. Unlike most firms that rely on physical presence alone, we select personnel based on emotional intelligence, communication, and sound judgment, supported by hard skills in defensive tactics, threat assessment, and crisis management. This balance minimizes liability for clients while ensuring rapid and capable performance under pressure.

With experience protecting over $1 billion in infrastructure and assets, Mayer Security combines military discipline, operational intelligence, and corporate accountability to deliver reliable, results-driven security solutions for businesses, government agencies, and communities throughout Texas.

Core services include construction and industrial site security, healthcare facility protection, government contracting support, disaster response, and private investigations.
