MayHawk is a British bean-to-bar chocolate maker. Founded in London in 2007, we have made chocolate from ethically sourced cocoa beans — roasting, refining, conching, tempering — entirely in-house.

We work across two studios. The Chocolate Studio sources single-origin, ethically traded cacao and develops every recipe and process from the cocoa bean. The Design Studio gives the work its form — the packaging, the identity, the material decisions that reduce its environmental impact. One company, vertically integrated — making the chocolate and designing everything around it.

The standard is set as much by what we refuse as by what we use. No emulsifiers. No lecithins. No artificial flavourings. No shortcuts taken at any stage where a shortcut would have been easier.

Alongside our permanent collections are our Studio Projects — limited releases built around seasonal ingredients, new methods, and innovative techniques developed in-house.

Our chocolate is sought out internationally and at home. The Guardian newspaper's chocolate columnist called our 63% Olive Oil & Welsh Sea Salt a bar "of an almost unimaginable smoothness."

Most chocolate is a Compromise. Ours is a Calibration.

The Studios are based in Gloucestershire, England. Shipping across the UK and to selected international markets.
