Aahmek Richards

Aahmek Richards is the current Head of Music at Mayk. Aahmek has also worked as the Executive Vice President at Global Grind and as the Vice President of New Media & Video Production at Island Def Jam Music Group.

Richards has produced, directed, and written original video content for GG, developed and produced all branded video content for sales campaigns, built production studio for GG original video content at NYC office, created and wrote the business plan for ADD youtube channel deal w. Google, and managed GG video department & post production.

At Island Def Jam Music Group, they executive produced music videos, web content and TV specials, executive produced DVDs for Def Jam and Island Records, managed the video department staff and vendor relationships, created video content for Def Jam.com and Def Jam artists sites, created and managed artists web sites & label site, managed the relationship with itunes, aol.com, launch.com, and other major sites, and developed online marketing plans and campaigns for Island Def Jam artists.

Aahmek Richards received their Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Clark Atlanta University.

They work with Akiva Bamberger - Co-Founder & CTO, Neer Sharma - Head of Product, and Ellyn Puleio - Head of Content. Aahmek Richards reports to Stefán Heinrich Henriquez, CEO & Co-Founder.
