SOF Principal at Mayvin

Sam “Slammer” Joseph. Before joining Mayvin, Sam spent nearly 50 years in Army Special Operations Units, both on active duty – retiring in 2004 as a Sergeant Major – and later as the Deputy Director for one of the Combat Development Directorates of USASOC on Ft. Bragg. In that role, he had supervisory responsibility for Research and Development activities at the Security Operations Test Facility (SOTF) with responsibility for developing and fielding ‘next generation’ materiel capability for Army SOF–exceeding 400 programs, projects, and combat evaluations annually.

Sam’s role with Mayvin is serving as a SOF Principal, where he provides solutions to the U.S. Government and allies to expand their capabilities and effectiveness. He continues to expand Mayvin’s organizational footprint into other SOF markets, to include growing relationships with NATO SOF partners.

Sam’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Liberty University, multiple Advanced Acquisition Education Programs from the Defense Acquisition University, and program management certifications from North Carolina State University.
