James Phillips

James Phillips is an experienced tax professional and transfer pricing expert currently serving as Group Tax Director and Group Head of Transfer Pricing at MBDA since January 2023. Prior to this role, James was a Transfer Pricing Director at Deloitte UK, overseeing operational transfer pricing efforts from November 2018 to December 2022. James also held positions including Transfer Pricing Expert at Huawei Technologies and Group Transfer Pricing Manager at Novartis, where responsibilities ranged from managing global transfer pricing documentation projects to leading local transfer pricing strategies in France. Earlier in the career, James served as VP of Transfer Pricing at CGGVeritas, where duties included policy definition and defense across global markets. With a background in transfer pricing planning, documentation, and compliance, James began the career at KPMG and gained experience at Fidelity Investments in operational roles. James holds a BA in Economics from The University of Sheffield.
