Kate Fielding is an Integration Engineer in the Seekers Division at MBDA since October 2019. Prior to this, Kate served as a Senior R&D Engineer at Lumentum from October 2014 to September 2019, leading the design and project management of an InP-based Integrated DFB Laser Mach Zehnder chip for data center applications. Kate's experience includes undergraduate research at the University of Oxford, focusing on the Nitrogen Vacancy center in nano diamond, as well as internships at Novelis and UC Santa Barbara, where projects involved studying Aluminium Carbides and synthesizing inorganic phosphors, respectively. Kate holds a Master of Engineering in Materials Science from the University of Oxford, completed in 2014, and attended King's High School in Warwick from 2003 to 2010.
