Ralf Schlaps

Ralf Schlaps is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in weapon systems and propulsion technology. Currently serving as the Chief Weapon Systems Engineer at MBDA since August 2023, Ralf previously held the position of Chief Systems Engineer and R&D Engineer at Bayern-Chemie (LFK Germany / MBDA Group) from November 2016 to August 2023, focusing on system modeling, performance assessments, and advanced engineering materials. Ralf's background also includes a significant tenure at Rolls-Royce, where roles spanned from Marie Curie AMEDEO ITN Research Fellow to an industrial trainee, engaging in compressor aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and ice impact analysis.
