Scott Shaw serves as a Weapon/Platform Synthetics Subject Matter Expert and Aerodynamics Group Lead for Future Systems and New Business at MBDA since May 2017. Significant roles include leading the aerodynamics team for MBDA's Tempest project and overseeing the Future Cruise/Anti-Ship Weapon airframe aerodynamics. Shaw has been a technical lead for NATO's RTO AVT-297 and AVT-316 and initiated the Democratizing Aerodynamic Simulation Initiative. Prior experience includes positions at Airbus as Product Stream Leader and Skill Group Leader in CFD, where responsibilities encompassed the development of CFD tools and technology for commercial aircraft design. Shaw started as a lecturer in Computational Fluid Dynamics at Cranfield University and holds a PhD in Computational Aerodynamics from Cranfield University and a B.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering from City St George's, University of London.
