Simone Battistini

Simone Battistini is an accomplished professional in the field of aerospace engineering, currently serving as the Head of Simulation & Modelling and Performance Department at MBDA since July 2022. Prior to this role, Simone was the Aerospace Engineering Course Leader and Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University from June 2019 to June 2022. Previous experience includes work at MBDA as a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer and a significant academic position as an Associate Professor at Universidade de Brasília. Additionally, Simone has held visiting positions at Universidad de Vigo and has interned with Telespazio, where valuable work on GPS signals and satellite orbit determination was conducted. Simone holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma and has also been a visiting researcher at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
