Patrick Gattari

Patrick Gattari is a Partner at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff, where they serve as Chair of the firm’s Licensing Practice Group. With over 25 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, Gattari advises clients in the bioscience, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device sectors on building and managing patent portfolios, structuring transactions, and navigating IP rights disputes. They have prosecuted patent applications in over 50 countries and have a strong track record in negotiating licensing agreements and conducting IP diligence for financing and M&A activities. Prior to joining MBHB, Gattari worked as patent counsel at Dade Behring, Inc. and held various positions at Abbott Laboratories. Gattari is currently pursuing a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a J.D. at the University of Michigan and SMU Dedman School of Law, respectively.
