David Mackey

David Mackey has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as an Acoustic Engineer at Airbus Group. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Post Graduate Researcher at Applied Optics, School of Physics, NUI Galway, where they developed FPGA real time closed and open loop control for MEMS adaptive optics systems using novel integrated optics wavefront sensing techniques. This was applied to remote sensing and free space optical communication. Since 2014, they have served as the CTO for mBryonics.

David Mackey completed a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick between 2005 and 2009. David then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Optics from the University of Galway, which they completed in 2014.
