Luke Willis

Director, Resource Modelling at McEwen Mining

Luke Willis is the current Director of Resource Modelling at McEwen Mining. Prior to this, they worked as a Resource Geologist for Goldcorp Inc from August 2005 to October 2012. Luke was responsible for using Datamine Studio 3 to update mine resource models for production, engineering, year end and MRMR reporting. From July 2004 to August 2005, they worked as a Core logging Geologist for Williams Operating Corporation on a temporary contract. From October 1999 to July 2003, they worked as a Project Geologist for Lisungwe Mineral Resources Limited in southern Malawi, managing greenfields exploration for gold, nickel, and gemstones. From August 1997 to October 1998, they worked as a Project Geologist for Mineral Exploration PVT Ltd on a small scale open pit ruby mining operation. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Geologist for various companies in Australia from July 1997 to July 1998.

Luke Willis completed a Bachelor of Science in Exploration and Mining Geology at the University of Wales, Cardiff. Luke is also a certified Professional Geoscientist (PGeo) from the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).

Luke Willis reports to Robert McEwen, Chairman & Chief Owner. Luke Willis works with Adrian Blanco S. - General Manager, Mexico, Stefan Spears - Vice President, Corporate Development, and Carmen L. Diges - General Counsel.
