Dave Barker has extensive experience in quality assurance and inspection, spanning several decades in the oil, construction, and power generation industries. After beginning as a Welder/Inspector at Chicago Oxwelding & Engineering Corp., Dave advanced through various roles including Inspection Engineer at Amoco Oil Co. and QA/QC Inspection Engineer at Koch Refining Co. Significant contributions were made at Hunt Refining Company as QA/QC Manager during a major capital project and at BP, where strategies for corrosion management were developed. Additional roles included QA Lead at Southern Company and QC Inspector at International Quality Consultants. Currently, Dave Barker is retired, having last served as Field QC Manager at McAbee Construction since May 2016. Dave holds an Associate of Science degree in Non-Destructive Evaluation from Moraine Valley Community College.
