McAlpha Inc. is a clean technology company developing advanced Catalytic Membrane Reactor (CMR) systems for the efficient conversion of methane and other carbon-containing feedstocks into low-carbon fuels and chemicals. The company’s core focus is the development of modular Dual CMR technology for producing synthetic crude, ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, and other clean energy products. In the synthetic crude pathway, McAlpha’s system converts methane into syngas in the first reactor and then into liquid hydrocarbons in a second reactor through Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. This approach is designed to reduce equipment footprint, lower catalyst use, improve conversion efficiency, and support deployment at distributed and remote sites.

McAlpha’s technology is particularly well suited for methane mitigation, flare gas monetization, biogas upgrading, and low-carbon fuel production. By converting methane that might otherwise be flared, vented, or stranded into valuable products, the platform offers both emissions reduction and economic value creation. The system is being positioned as a practical decarbonization solution for upstream oil and gas, midstream infrastructure, renewable gas, and industrial energy applications.

The company is advancing pilot-scale deployment in collaboration with industry and research partners, including work related to clean ammonia and synthetic crude production.
