Christopher Kirkpatrick

Christopher Kirkpatrick is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in editorial leadership and investigative journalism. Currently serving as Senior Editor for The Fresno Bee since July 2023, Kirkpatrick focuses on enterprise investigations and subscriber growth through essential local and regional content. Previously, Kirkpatrick held various positions including News Editor at SmartNews, Deputy Director of Content Development at Consumer Reports, and Senior News Director at the Detroit Free Press, where a significant transition to digital journalism was managed. Additional roles include Health and Education Editor and Sunday Editor at The Charlotte Observer, and Projects and Enterprise Reporter at The Blade, where notable investigative work led to a Pulitzer Prize nomination.
