Stephen Gilbert

Stephen Gilbert has extensive experience in Unix and Linux design and support, having served as Linux Team Manager and DevOps Manager at McClatchy since January 2013, where responsibilities include work with Linux Virtual Server, HA Clustering, RHEV, and VMWare virtualization. Prior to this, Stephen held the position of Sr. Systems Administrator at The Charlotte Observer from May 1996 to January 2013, also focusing on similar technologies. Earlier roles included Technical Support at First Data Corporation, assisting clients with transitioning environments, and Network Administrator at Campaign Telecommunications, managing a Novell network and troubleshooting hardware issues. Stephen earned a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix between 2004 and 2005 and studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1989 to 1991.
