Growing up as the great nephew of Father Ignatius McDermott (Uncle Ig), he watched Haymarket grow into the amazing treatment center it is today. Mr. Stack came to understand the great need for centers like Haymarket and welcomed the opportunity to serve in any capacity that would continue the mission of providing aid to people with chemical dependency in their recovery. Thanks to the help and support of his Uncle Ig and Jack Whalen, Joe has been sober for over 25 years and it has inspired him to help those being served at Haymarket Center with the same love and care he received during his journey.
As a twenty-year member of the Chicago Board of Trade (CME Group), Mr. Stack has built a successful institutional options brokerage business with his partners George Gianakis and Tim Dillman, who service the institutional and independent options trading communities. Their sales approach to the banking and trading communities has always been to provide honest, complete and accurate information and execution to their customers. He worked in what has been known as a “pay your dues” business. Thirty years ago when he stepped on the training floor as a Runner, he learned the ins and outs of the futures and options from the ground up. While the exchange-traded business continues to evolve with the growth in computer trading, Joe and his partners continue to strive to change and adapt to the needs of their clients. Mr. Stack attended Loras College, studying business and served in the USMCR.
