David Barie

David Barie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic development and marketing research. Currently serving as a Research Development Consultant for the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation since September 2021, David provides statistical research and consultation for various economic development activities. Prior to this role, David was self-employed as an Economic Development Consultant, following a long tenure at The Washington Post as a Senior Marketing Researcher where demographic and consumer research was conducted across multiple platforms. Earlier experience includes work as a Research Assistant at Porter Novelli, focused on qualitative and quantitative research. David holds an M.B.A. from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Economics, Sociology, and Psychology.
