J. (Ray) Ramsburg, III is a seasoned insurance executive with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Managing Executive and Regional Insurance President at McGriff since January 2013, Ramsburg previously held significant positions at BB&T from March 2001 to December 2022, including Senior Vice President and Regional Agency Manager, and Senior Vice President & Managing Director of BB&T Insurance Services. Prior to that, Ramsburg was the CEO of Frederick Underwriters, Inc. from January 1999 to March 2001. Ramsburg holds an MBA in Finance from Mount St. Mary's University, which was completed between 2003 and 2005.
