Maya Baker is an experienced planning professional with a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from DePaul University. Currently serving as an Assistant Planner at McKenna since May 2022, Maya's role includes map creation, demographic analysis, community engagement, and drafting master plans. Previous experience includes working as a Fellow with OptiMize on the Wolverine Wilds project, internships at Aligned Planning, LLC and various roles such as Program Supports Intern and Finance Intern.
