Akeel Williams

Akeel Williams currently serves as Senior Vice President, CSBD at CoverMyMeds, a role held since May 2025 at McKesson. Prior to this position, Akeel was an Executive in Residence at Silversmith Capital Partners, contributing to a Boston-based growth equity firm with $3.3 billion in capital. Akeel has held significant roles including Member of the Board of Directors at the Point of Care Marketing Association, and Vice President of Strategic Development and General Manager of GoodRx for Providers from 2021 to 2024. Previously, Akeel worked at Gilead Sciences, where as Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, responsibilities included leading corporate strategy under the CEO office. Akeel's experience at McKesson spanned from 2014 to 2019 in various senior leadership roles in Mergers & Acquisitions, Enterprise Strategy, and Corporate Strategy. Initial career experience included positions at Deutsche Bank, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk A/S, and Sanofi-Aventis. Akeel holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and a BA in Economics and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia.
