Peter Major

Peter Major, K.C., Q. Arb. is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as a Partner at McLennan Ross LLP since July 2017. In addition to this role, Peter has been a Litigation Partner and Co-Chair of the Alberta Dispute Resolution team at McMillan LLP since 2000. Peter specializes in the energy sector, acting as lead counsel in a wide range of disputes including royalty claims, Rights of First Refusal, and lease enforcement, among others. Additionally, Peter represents clients in various non-energy commercial disputes involving complex contractual matters, fraud, and employment issues. Peter's prior experience includes serving as a Shareholder/Partner at Thackray Burgess from February 2002 to May 2009. Peter holds a BA and LLB from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
